Will the government come after the angels now?

Because it's not everyday a senator just up and vanishes into thin air. Someone's gonna miss her eventually and I'd think there would be some sort of federal investigation of that. They track her to the last place she was known to be and even if one of the soldiers isn't left alive to talk there has to be some blood evidence from all those gunshot wounds somewhere. Did they actually clean up after themselves or just leave that big pile of evidence out in the desert?

I think I put more thought into these shows than the people who make them.
