The only thing the medical tests will show is that the mom simply lost consciousness which caused the accident. No alcohol or drugs will be found in her system. So why run at all. Her exhusband would never be able to back up his threat. It's not like he can bribe or threaten the hospital staff as well as people within his department to forge the test results.
shareActually cops all the time arrest people saying they are "drunk", when they are not, the cop could certainly make it very difficult for her to prove she was not under the influence of anything. Especially if they wait too long to do the test. And cops tend to be buddies so I doubt he'd get much resistance from the station. He probably lies about his wife all the time. No one at the hospital was taking her side either, a nurse easily could have demanded he leave.
I also got the impression that the husband is abusive in some way, which we'll probably learn more about but she was scared so she ran.

Hopefully they will. It makes no sense to just abandon her life because of one threat. Her ex is not a senator or anything. A decent lawyer and testimony from the hospital staff could easily prove she was not a fault.
I really wished they would have used a older actress. She looks like a 16 year old. The CW needs to stop casting actors like her.
I'd be okay with it if she was at least 4 or 5 years older but the actress is only 23 so unless she had her child at 16 (which is also entirely possible, the husband looks young) but The CW is no worse than any of the other nets as far as casting IMO.

Her ex, the child's father, has made it clear to her that he will lie and say she is drunk. The only choice for her is to run.

shareI thought she ran because her daughter miraculously healed from brain injuries right in front of her eyes. That would've been difficult to explain to doctors and would've likely subjected her daughter to a crap ton of testing. I also figured she probably felt the father would try to take her away. He was a cop afterall, so painting her out to be a horrible mother would've been a cake walk.
shareIt seems pretty clear her ex-husband is abusive and is will do whatever it takes to get his way. She's probably afraid that if he is willing to frame her for drunk driving, he's willing to do even worse if that doesn't work. Better to run than wind up in a shallow grave.
