Good movie, but...

I had already seen the 10 part miniseries, Manhunt, Deadly Games before this, and I thought it did a much better job at telling the whole story, not only of the bombing and the accusations against Richard Jewell, but also the subsequent hunt for the real bomber, Eric Rudolph. In comparison, this film seemed to gloss over some points of the story. Even at over two hours, it seemed rushed compared to the miniseries.

That said, I thought the acting and production values of the Eastwood film were top notch. Kudos to Paul Walker Hauser, Kathy Bates, and Sam Rockwell, one of my favorite actors. He's always great, with his trademark quirkiness, even in straight dramatic roles.
