Seth has the best late night show on the air. Bar none. His jokes are funnier. He has a better delivery. He is a better interviewer. He has more guests. The show is simply better and has less frills. The desk opening instead of a stand up monologue is better, too.
I agree that he's doing the best show now. It's the funniest, most enjoyable, and the only late-night show that's easy, instead of annoying, to watch. He's the least hyper, most natural, and that's what works for a late-night time slot. And by moving the opening to the desk, he's the only one who's shown any self-awareness about himself and what is or isn't working on the show. The others stick, rather proudly, with their mistakes. I expected to like Colbert the best, but Meyers is doing the best job and the best show.
As did Letterman, Fallon and Conan before him, Meyers' show follows the main attraction and plays to a smaller room with an audience of a more compact demographic. These productions can afford to be more intimate and experimental in their approach.

I watched Seth last night and I have to agree this is the best show on the air right now. maybe Conan is second. Fallon and Colbert are unwatchable, period.
