What IS this ~ Every-Dude in the Desert?

Egad! This sounded so fascinating ~ what with Ewan McG. playing both Jesus and the Devil ~ what an amazingly lush and dappled acting opportunity!

How could it turn out so deadly boring?

Instead of a scintillating mix of human & Divine & diabolical, this protagonist / antagonist combo platter come across as flat and unengaging.

I hate to tell you this, Ewan, but you & your Shadow ain't got no chemistry!

Thank god for Ciaran Hinds whose every breath exudes authenticity ~ SPOILER: Too bad Jesus didn't employ his Lazarus-raising skills on your character!
