Why did he not admit to the Hospital room incident?

Really enjoyed this documentary, very well put together.

I'm just wondering why he didn't admit to the hospital incident in the interview with Oprah? If Betsy is to believed he seemed genuinely apologetic and sincere when he phoned her and the one thing she asked was he owned up to that happening but he didn't. If he's already admitting to being a liar and the biggest fraud in sport why not admit to this too? Any thoughts?

I think because it was the key point of the SCA Promotions settlement. It would incriminate him as a perjurer at his deposition. As it turns out the lie may have been worth $10M, depending if he is ever compelled to pay the judgment against him in 2015. Lying paid for a long time. Lance is the Bernie Madoff of sports.
