While I wouldn't be surprised if a similar plot has been done before, I can't think of any off the top of my head (maybe 3 Days to Kill or Knight and Day, but neither of those are very similar). However, I would recommend watching this one. I don't believe I've ever seen a Spanish comedy before, but Spy Time was hilarious and entertaining. This movie would be a huge hit in the US if it weren't in Spanish, since many people don't like reading text when trying to watch a movie. No doubt I liked Spy Time more than the latest Bond film!

I see an English/ Bollywood remake in the near future.

There are of course Mr. & Mrs. Smith and True Lies.

That Quim Gutiérrez sometimes looked very like Eli Manning in this film I will not hold agains him because his subtile comic deliverance was very good at times.
Liked the movie.

It is a plot point in Looney Tunes Back in Action, for one thing.
