Questions after watching the series

I just finished the series. I had a few questions at the end. I would appreciate it if someone could clear them up. Spoilers ahead.

Why did Paul put glass in Claire's shoes before the final ballet? You would think he would want her to succeed.

What did Ross ask Paul at the party at Paul's place? Paul seems to blow him off and Ross then walks out of the party.

Why did Paul's partner leave him? I couldn't see any incident that caused him to leave.

Thanks in advance.

The first one, he had been pushing and challenging her the entire season. Remember when he waggled his dick on her face? Expected her to screw a rich dude? He was willing to do what it took and he wanted her to understand that. I think the glass was one final shove. Instead of getting all meek she bit the glass and he approved.

I can't remember the second one.

The third one, didn't he leave money on the pillow? The boyfriend was trying to have a real connection with Paul, not just sex, and Paul didn't seem to be over his dead lover. So he made it clear it was just physical and didn't the boyfriend leave a turd on the pillow in exchange?

reply

Paul didn't put the glass in there, a jealous ballerina did.

Paul had made a pass at Ross before. At the party he reluctantly offers to take Paul up on his sexual harassment. Paul, who is feeling good because of the party, tells him no thanks, thereby humiliating Ross more.

Where did you get that Paul put the glass in her shoe? And yes the boyfriend left because insulted him by leaving cash on the pillow after they spent the night together.

We don't really know who put the glass in her shoes, but it's certainly not Paul, who desperately needs her to succeed and be wonderful in the performance. And btw, it's a ridiculous premise that anyone would do that, at least in real life (which, of course, this series doesn't resemble at all), and there's no way that Claire would not have noticed IMMEDIATELY, on putting her shoe on, if there was broken glass in the toe. She would not have put the shoes on, tied them, walked all the way to the wings, and only then realized the glass was there. Completely ridiculous.

Just make a movie that makes me care, one way or another. I'm open.

reply

I think she put the glass in her own shoe.
