Any idea who the two witnesses are?

I have watched all 3 movies several times. I think they are the best Rapture/Apocalypse movies so far. Because the others all focus on cities and what happens in urban areas. And for some reason everyone thinks God will choose famous people or connected people to win the day during the End Times. Like the Left Behind movies. Buck Williams is a reporter? Why? What precedence is there for that in the BIble? Jesus was born in a manger...

I believe this story line follows reality more. In the BIBLE, Jesus loves people who are redeemed. It's a big win for him. In Left Behind, the witnesses are Jewish biblical experts or something? High profile.... Old guys? Esteemed before the rapture? Why? In this movie, the premise, or so it seems, is that God takes people you wouldn't expect to be heroes in the last days.

But, with celebrity worship syndrome prevalent in the world I can see how people would assume it would be a movie star or famous politician. Why? So the Hollywood narcissists can get good PR working for God in the last days? Give me a break...

With that being said, I think Josh and the gang leader played by Brian Bosworth, Hawg, are going to serve the purpose of Michael's angels on Earth. To protect the witnesses. And I think the wrestler, Steve Sting Borden, who plays "Junkyard" is a good candidate for one of the two witnesses. Because of what happened to him at the end of the second movie. And in the first movie, Hawg protected him and didn't allow him to go into the store and said, "no, you're too important." And, he was having a hard time articulating his new found faith in God (because he didn't have the education or verbal skills). But, it seems clear that the Holy Spirit grabbed hold of him and began to work. We'll see...

And, i have my doubts about the Shepherd. He's not killing everyone who.stands in his way. And why would a witness be called the Shepherd and be healing people? But maybe it was obvious to everyone else?

Josh can be a witness but the little girl was talking about her dream and the spear, lake of fire, bridge. And he had that tete a tete with Hawg about both being warriors. I've just always thought he was either the Spirit of Michael the Archangel or is charged with being a warrior for God's army. But he could be a witness. Because of what happened to him in Black Rider right after he met with the Shepherd...

What roles the girls play, we'll have to wait and see.

Thoughts?

Hey, Gabe Sabloff here, writer/director. Good theories. Yes, these movie were a deliberate effort on my part to get away from previous end-of-days movies and step away from the main stage.

Josh does has a greater destiny we will get to eventually, but it will not directly include the witnesses. I get bored quickly with story lines and want to rush off in an exciting new direction for part 4. There is already a script for it and it's completely insane. Hope will be able to bring it to you in some form soon.

Thanks for your enthusiasm and support.

Hi Gabe,

Thrilled to hear you already have a script and are planning to move forward on this some time in the future. I read your response to someone online who was reviewing the series and you mentioned that the film industry is changing and Pure Flix is planning on doing more theatrical releases as well. That is wonderful for Pure Flix. Happy for them. And, I'm hoping that is your plan as well. You have a very unique talent for understanding human nature (hard to do for someone young, and I mean someone who hasn't been around a lifetime of experience, ie, grandparent age). That shines through in the writing. Impressive...

I've been litigating domestic issues many years (domestic violence, child abuse, alienation, domestic murder/suicides, international kidnapping of children with high speed chases, poisoning own kids to set the other parent up, fighting over assets, adultery, purposely bankrupting your assets for revenge, and that's just family law...now I'm doing juvenile dependency, if you know what that is...where the even greater family tragedy is). But, even in juvenile dependency, the public generally thinks that the state wears the White hat because it's protecting the children from evil abusive drug addict parents, etc...until you get into the system and see all the self righteousness of clueless or controlling enforcement workers, the redemption of the parents at the mercy of those who are in control, and the children suffering not because of their parents but because of the people who say they care about their best interest but won't let them see the parents they love and miss.

I used to think the state was right in child abuse cases until I started representing parents and realized it's not so clear cut....it is a case by case basis...sometimes actual abuse so the authorities are correct... sometimes overzealous overreaction and the kids and family suffers... It just depends...

The scene with Josh in the hotel in Revelation Road 1 was SPOT ON!...loved that...

And children generally love their parents... regardless of what their parents have done... or have done to THEM... you covered that brilliantly as well with the hotel scene and the whole Cat/Hawg storyline...

Undeniably, you also have a gift for being able to put all of this down in a cohesive and MIND CAPTURING plot as well. Extremely important. With these Revelation Road movies, you successfully get the message of faith across while developing the spiritual journey of the human characters.... I haven't seen a big Hollywood studio movie in years that has great character development.... something you do easily in your series (and I can say the Pure Flix films do great character development too)...

I have watched the 3 Revelation Road movies more times than I will admit. They are really beautiful. And I make everyone I know watch them. And afterwards, they go, "WOW! That was awesome!" EVERY... SINGLE... TIME!!! And afterwards, you feel a sense of peace that you don't get from other Hollywood films. Don't get me wrong, I love Ghost Ship and that was pretty gory, LOL . But, RR is exciting, thrilling, violent, yet peaceful and hopeful... WOW!

I saw the Remaining recently about Revelation 9:13 (200,000,000 demons unleashed on Earth). Affirm Films. I'd love to see what someone like you could do with more edgier parts of the Bible. That would be amazing! The world doesn't realize that you don't have to twist the message of the Bible and that you can remain true to the words while offering exciting cinema...

I think you are among the FIRST of your kind...merging Mad Max with Revelation...never seen that boldness before... EVER... and I'm absolutely 100% cheering for you. Prayers to you that you get more exposure because I think the world needs more movies like the kind I know are in that mind of yours. 

God Bless.
