There you are. I read your post while driving and was going to get back to it....then I couldn't find it. Wonderful that you rescue animals. I do too. I'm up to 669 kittens/cats fostered/adopted and I do TNR (trap neuter and return). Had to take a break because of my job, but will get back to it....I think you are great for doing that for the vulnerable and voiceless.
Of course I don't know for sure, but I am confident that animals have souls and DO go to Heaven.
Here's one of the biggest dramatic and powerful moments of Revelation.... it is when the fifth rider appears on a white horse...He is faithful and true....thought to be Jesus Christ...
Revelation 19:11
The Rider on the White Horse
11And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.…
It cannot be made any clearer than that. Heaven is opened, and inside Heaven, not only is there a horse, but Jesus is riding it.
But, that is not all. Jesus I believe also ENDORSED animal rescue.... while he was here on Earth. He was here to save souls, but he also commented on animals. Now, he did say that people were more valuable than animals maybe, but, other places in the Bible God makes it clear he values animals along with humans. For instance, he wanted Noah to put two of every kind of animal on the ark to save them.
And here, Jesus talks about rescuing an animal from the well. Here...
Luke 14:5
And he said to them, “Which of you, having a son or an ox that has fallen into a well on a Sabbath day, will not immediately pull him out?”
Then he goes on to say, that it's okay to heal on the Sabbath. I think that's a pretty direct endorsement for charity, soul rescue and animal rescue.
And with regard to animals having souls, here is this...
Fearing God Alone. Matthew 10:28-
…28"Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29"Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30"But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.…
Genesis discusses that we are given everything to eat but that we are the guardians of animals. So, while some choose to be vegan, I don't believe it is commanded in the Bible. And, we are eaten at our death by maggots just as lions eat gazelle and wolves eat rabbits and cats eat mouse. All which have breath under God and are created belong to God and have souls created by God belonging to him.
As this last scripture seems to suggest, we should not fear those who have the power to kill the body but not the soul. To this extent, perhaps animals are lucky. They are at our mercy, but if you look up, you can see birds living rent free in trees and animals living without having to pay into social security. Perhaps animals are here to teach us what the Second Earth will be like when God removes money and gives us all we need to live in harmony with one another in paradise.
God Bless....
