An Officer and a Gentleman 2!

I've just watched this with my wife and she cried the whole way through. At the end I asked her what about it upset her so much and she replied that it was terrible what happened to Mayo. It turned out that she had misunderstood me when I told her that it had the guy from An Officer and a Gentleman in, she thought I meant the character, not Richard Gere.

Anyway, she said it made her enjoy it more and if she had known it was just some random other character it would not have been as effecting to her. She was disappointed that the great song 'Up Where We Belong' was not in the film. It would be good over the end credits?

Anyway, from my point of view I thought it was an amazing movie. Great performances from everyone but it's the direction and cinematography that is key. The way Richard disappears into the background or is obscured by glass/objects/people in many of the shots is a wonderful way of illustrating just how invisible homeless people have become in society.

I loved it. 10/10.
