Any movies similar to this? I thought it had a good balance between horror,and comedy.

I enjoyed it as well!

If you have not seen The Babadook, I recommend it.

Definitely Sightseers by Ben Wheatley. Comedy horror about a couple who go on a killing spree. Darkly funny in a similar style

It reminded me of Wes Craven's 'The People Under the Stairs' - that had a similar mix of comedy and horror (and a similar theme).

We said the same. Very much People Under the Stairs. This was a good little movie. And good cast.

@hitchwood. Aw heck, I thought I was the only one that remembered 'The People Under The Stairs' extremely similar movie, only its American. 'The Burbs' is another you might like though that one is more Comedy than horror. But Definitely check out People Under The Stairs if you liked Housebound.

The People Under The Stairs is the only film that is close to Housebound. All the other suggestions are way off.

Most of the usual comedy/horror go to movies have a very different tone to Housebound. I might be wrong but I remember Black Sheep being in this vein.
