Whats up with the Alexander name?

Ok, after watching Force of Execution and A Good Man, despite having the same beard in both of them, we say these movies are not related at all in term of story even tough the character is both named Alexander.

Seem there is even a joke in A Good Man when he says "just Alexander" after being called Mister Alexander like in FOE.

But then i see this movie... again he is name Alexander... does its related to any of the 2 previous movies? I mean the stories in both seem fairly conclude by the end of the movie... And at some point its just ridiculous to always name your character Alexander...

Maybe its a detail, but its something annoying me a bit, characters are what make movies look "alive" , thats why the actors don't use there real name in them, so when an actor use the same name for every character, it turn out ridiculous...

That being said i actually really enjoyed his last 2 movies, hope the next ones are gonna be as good as this. I mean there no masterpiece but there enjoyable, wich is what im looking for with Seagal.

Alice is the worst character of all time, she need to die in the last movie. Chris/Jill are RE !!!

When FORCE OF EXECUTION was announced a few years ago, it as mentioned that it would be part of a trilogy, that included A GOOD MAN and ABSOLUTION. From what I remember, the character of Mr Alexander as meant to be a former mercenary, before he became an crime boss. So I'm guessing that the 2 other movies are meant to be prequels, or some sort?

Don't know whats up with this one but in the special features for Good Man the director mentions that it was intended to a sequel to Force of Execution but Seagal asked that the whole revenge against the drug czar, CIA mission gone bad thing be added in and it no longer worked as a sequel since it changed the characters back story but the writers were apparently too lazy to give the character a new name.

Now after having saw the trailer for this one, im not sure if its a sequel or not to A Good Man either. They mention he is a mercenary who did bad things? Could somehow fit in but at the same time he did good in A Good Man obviously.

I guess it will be a stand alone movie once again, in any case the 2 previous ones where entertaining, but im really hoping they drop the damn Alexander names for futur movies... and the beard while we are at it lol.

Looks like the next movie he is gonna be called Robert Sikes... at last... lol
