Seagal's ego still doesn't allow anyone to hit him?

I remember watching old Seagal movies and laughing that he never gets punched throughout the entire runtime. Bad guys can't even land a finger on him. Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Van Damme, Lundgren, etc. all don't mind taking a little ass-beating for the sake of realism, but not Seagal. Always must be a "Flawless Victory".

So I found "Absolution" on YouTube, skipped forward to the last scene, there he is against a henchman and the main villain Vinnie Jones. Henchman gets the living sh*t beaten out of him by fat Sensei Seagal, who stays still like a frozen piece of wood throughout the entire fight, can Vinnie Jones put up a bit more of a challenge since he's the boss? LOL, NOPE. "You're out bitch", "Get up and fight bitch" - HAHAHAHAHA, if that was the main boss fight I could only imagine how easily Seagal took care of everyone else before this final climax. Change the genre to COMEDY please :))

This movie was amazingly bad. Between all the disturbing close ups of Seagal, his chasing after another woman young enough to be his granddaughter and the fights it took my 4 tries before I was able to get to the end.

The whole movie is essentially a build up to the final fight between Jones and Seagal which ends up the Jones not even getting one hit.

Yeah, I was wondering about that myself too. When Seagal was younger he let bad guys hit him a little bit here and there, but now it seems like he went Chuck Norris' road. I wonder what exactly happened to him. Doesn't he think we won't notice? :)

Maybe when egos get big enough they literally form a protective shield around a person that prevents others from hitting them?

Seagal has a reputation for hitting stuntmen in fight scenes.

Maybe he doesn't want to give them a chance to hit back.
