great movie but depressing AF

I did like the movie but the depression of the disease far outweighed the minuscule amount of hope at the end. It is a total downer. I liked the premise and execution, just wish that the epidemic was a little better explained and that there was more of a sense of renewal rather than a sense that all was lost.
