too much time on unnecessary surgical procedures

we don't need to see a burr hole being performed, as it adds nothing to the 'plot'. In fact, all the surgery is superfluous, and a lot of it isn't very accurate. They scrub far too quickly too. Thisshow could be good, but it needs to sort out some things

Agreed. The problem is that there is just zero character development. You can sort of forgive the inaccuracies of the medical proceedures given that it's a drama but the show's biggest flaw is that it wastes far too much time on things that just don't drive the plot forward and ultimately this just makes it hard to stick with and invest in emotionally. It almost feels like your watching a doctors training video at times. I've seen 4 episodes of this now and I almost can't tell them apart as they all look the same. I really wanted there to be some development as I loved the first episode but there isn't. I watched the last episode with a friend of mine who is doctor. He spent the half the show with his mouth open and the other laughing his head off. It probably seemed like a good concept in pre-production and it's not badly acted as such but there is very little the actors can do to make us warm to their characters. If this makes it back for a 2nd season I will be shocked.
