No actual storyline.

Why this is being hailed as brilliant is far beyond me. It's total crap, set in a dreamworld! As if the NHS have got hospitals like that, which frankly looks capable of dealing with 5/10 patients at a time!
There is a complete lack of story, it just doesn't exist.
We don't know the characters so there's no investment there, we are literally watching a medical procedure - of at least part of one.
The acting is substandard, and I rea don't see s point.
If you're expecting House MD from this, prepare to be SERIOUSLY disappointed.

Stick to casualty then if you want soap storylines

I don't watch soaps, that's why I watched this fanboy.
There is no storyline. It's a mish-mash of comedy actors doing operations. There LITERALLY isn't a storyline.
Perhaps you've got a fanboy boner for that sort of thing?
Perhaps you think this is some sort of highbrow show?
You'd be entirely wrong.
There aren't NHS hospitals like this on earth. I doubt whether the private ones are!
Why don't you buy a dvd on operations? You'll quite literally get the same level of intensity and excitement, with the added bonus of not watching a group of terrible "actors" trying to act.

To recap, never watch soaps, that's why I th I'd give this a try, and it's pathetic.
House MD any day. Acting AND storyline!

Stop watching it then, blimey such a bee in your bonnet over a tv show...

Most NHS hospitals aren't like this one, but the makers say it's based on a couple of brand-new state of the art major trauma centres they visited. The director tweeted photos of the real thing so people could see the resemblance for themselves.

LOL My thoughts exactly!

I agree with the original poster - dire programme. I thought it was set in the future at first. Dreadful acting all round except from Lennie James, who is wasted in this very poor sub-Casualty House-ER clone. If Sky renew this nonsense I will cancel.
