That certainly isn't an NHS hospital!

It looks like some sort of shiny nivana!
Sparkling and brand new.
But here's the kicker, here's how we know it's a private hospital.
ALL the Dr's are British! There's not one Indian, no Africans, it's just Brits.
As much as I love a good medical drama, I think I'll stick to House MD.
It's not because the lack of multi ethnics, I don't mind that at all. It's the sparkly hospital which I've NEVER seen anything like in my life.

Out of interest, have you ever been inside an NHS major trauma unit to compare?

I admit I have not, but a few years ago my dad was treated in a regional cardiothoracic unit of an NHS hospital. It was every bit as sparkly as the set on Critical. And much more so than the private hospital he had been previously sent to.

I think it's set on the starship Enterprise

Nah, not enough lense flare...

Excellent excellent point made by original thread poster. Utter drivel. British doctors are not that talented and any trauma certainly wouldn't be free of Asian staff in this Godforsaken country. A pitifully bad show.

Wow why do you stay, if you hate it so much? I may be mistaken but you sound quite unhappy, poor you... Where do by think things are better? For your own sake, get there fast. LOL

Typical ignorance, British doctors are among the best in the world, We are renowned for our NHS and we attract aspiring doctors from all over said world because of it, Intelligence recognises intelligence it doesn't matter where it comes from, maybe if you had some you would realise that.

Its supposed to be a state of the art Critical Trauma Unit with no expense spared, it was mentioned at some point that it was a massive drain on resources and budget, which would no doubt run into tens of millions PA or maybe more.
Also you have to remember this is one unit in a hospital with everything piled into it, ICU bays, scanners, operating theatres and all manner of other toys, the rest of the hospital would not be like this, like most hospitals these things would be spread out whereas this unit have their own dedicated to them for their sole use.

As to them all being Brits this unit would no doubt be under intense observation by various parties and maybe the NHS powers that be decided they wanted a British line-up pioneering what would be the only Trauma Unit of its kind in the UK, Kind of a look what we've done. Also and this is down to the writing team these guys are not the only people who work there, some of the support staff are foreign but only ever get lines in the "who" they do before surgery and there must be a second trauma team, because these guys have to have time off so maybe there are foreigners on that team, also there would be a vast number of behind the scenes people that could be foreign, secretaries, nurses, healthcare assistants, pharmacy workers, security etc, but unfortunately due to the nature of the show dealing with the 'Critical' patient hanging on by a thread only the support staff that are needed are seen, some mentioning with the writers or maybe bringing a few foreigners for bit parts like bringing blood or drugs or maybe even paperwork, it happens.

Anyway fingers kinda got away from me, I hope you give this show atleast the first season/series, it will never be a massive show unless theres some kind of intervention with the writing team as well as the director/team, but i enjoy it i find it entertaining and this is the first show in a long time to genuinely shock me with how graphic it is but i like that, i wont spoil anything because i hate that i hope you will give it another go and i hope you like it.
