Disappointingly _predictable_

I agree with the other commenters who point out that the acting is often wooden, that there is little character development, etc. Having no medical, nursing or health care background, I can't join the discussion as to how 'realistic' -- or not -- this programme is. There seems to be a surfeit of gore every week, anyway.

What I want to complain about is how bloody <ha ha> predictable the 'high drama' plot lines always turn out to be. The Heroic Trauma Team always wins! Hurrah! I mean, seriously: in eleven weeks so far, how many patients have died? It may sound morbid to the happy-clappers in the audience but I would _much_ prefer a programme where the gods failed at least as often as they won -- kinda-sorta a wee bit more like the real world, eh?

As much as I like Lennie James, he's not enough to save this show. I can't believe how unsterile the environment is and eating near a patient on the operating table? They can never get blood and the head doctors are where ? They have to page them many times .

You'd be surprised how often we have to page senior doctors a lot of the time. It's fairly accurate in showing the challenges the trauma team have of getting things done. I have to admit character development isn't very good, you don't really get to know anyone. The operation scenes are amazing and pretty much accurate.
