FINISHED SEASON 3 spoiler

Maura is horrendous, inside and out, selfish and ugly nothing changes here.

The let down was the oral between MOOPA and the guy in the bathroom.
too much there.

the highlight
the mom in the last episode melts your heart!

the kids are basically the same just more fd up with some personal deaths happening

This season I did find more anger at Maura as it seemed she was so wrapped up in herself. But I loved the episode that centered on Grandma Rose and Mort as a child. I don't think I can grasp the internal help being trans especially in the 50's as a kid.

However, Judith Light is the light of this show for me. I am happy we got some more Shelly time. I found myself proud at her one woman show and was so happy to see her daughters realize their mom is more than just the mom they know.

Meant internal hell, not help but spell check is an *beep*

Yeah, I found myself having much more sympathy to Shelly, and much less towards Maura. In the first 2 seasons I felt bad for her and how hard she just wanted to belong. This season it seemed more apparent that she wants everyone to bend over backwards to understand HER journey, but she isn't interested in trying to understand anyone else. Even when she's trying to do something noble----like help Eliza, she never stops to think about the fact that she's invading the kid's privacy or might scare her

Sarah is a mirror image of Maura, just as Josh is to Shell. Allie is somewhere in the middle.

Very Id, Ego and Superego role playing.

"Lord what fools these mortals be!" ...Puck, A Midsummer Night's Dream

Since the subject of this thread includes the word "spoiler", I'll use it for my question concerning Season 3 ...

MAJOR potential spoiler ahead, so stop now if you haven't finished the Season 3 finale!

Does anyone else wonder if Josh jumped off the ship after dumping the ashes? It was an ambiguous ending to that scene. They didn't show him jumping, but they didn't show him afterwards either. It's just a feeling I got while watching him pour out the ashes of someone who had just suicided, combined with this general affect in the entire finale.

!!SPOILERS!!

Yes I agree with you, it was very ambiguous. I thought he was going to jump before we saw him with the ashes. I thought he had just been looking so sad and empty. What with loosing all that money gambling and him not being there at Shelly's performance, it did seem a bit strange. And all through the season, everything seemed to be going against him: Raquel, Rita, Colton...I don't know. I feel like he might have thought about doing it, but then not. I hope not.

^I agree, Kats. Let's hope we're wrong.
