What do Bosch's ex-wife and her husbnd do?
Are they both just professional gamblers or what?

Yes-the ex was a profiler/psychologist but now uses those skills for getting an edge in gambling-she still assists Harry on occasion if asked.
"What is an Oprah?"-Teal'c.
Wife is a gambler, her husband is her bodyguard I think.
She actually works for a casino in the books I think.
She needs a bodyguard? I got the impression from the way he came out of the game room to find her in the first such scene, that he had been involved in the game. But it was a while ago so my memory's hazy.

It's been awhile since I read the novel, but it seems he was he driver/guard.
Tio be honest I don't know if his occupation was discussed in the TV series.
I read the novel, but it seems he was he driver/guardAh, fair enough then. Thanks!
she keeps saying they have a business so I'm guessing she's a freelance gambler (for hire by the casino to attract whales) and he sets up the big games for the MGM Mirage and their casino in Hong Kong / Macau?
I always took it as Reggie acted as Eleanor's agent/manager, doing exactly as you described.
shareThere is a long and somewhat twisted history between Harry and Eleanor in the novels, starting with the first Bosch, The Black Echo, up through 9 Dragons.
