Ex-special forces background

Does Harry Bosch's special forces background come across in Titus Welliver's come across in his portrayal? I don't really buy it, to be honest. Welliver as a performer has too much inherent swagger, confidence to him. Maybe it's about how he leans his neck when he talks. Also, in Season 2, Bosch looks a bit bulked up (wider waistline) vs Season 1, which makes it harder to buy. I know that maybe Bosch's military training is not the focal point of the story, but I'm just saying.

Agree. There's a certain je ne sais quoi about ex-special forces. They still carry a sense of the tension of readiness, maybe?

In the Harry Bosch novels, Bosch was in Vietnam, not Special Forces in the Iraq Wars. The character is somewhat cocky and Well over pulls this off...imo
