I so agree! Messaien is nowhere near a favorite of mine and even the little bit they played in that episode (along with the jarring shaky cam faux documentary filming style) was getting on my nerves. That was my least favorite episode of the season.

I also agree the whole "docu" style was just awful...I fast-forwarded thru most of this episode which I have never done in an episode of MITJ before

"Quartet for the End of Time" was written and premiered in a German concentration camp. Get it? Also, what do you think these guys do all day long, go to the spa?

I did like the Venice episodes way more than the prison concert :-/
