The hair cut?

The movie was okay, to me. Many like it a lot. The strangest thing for me was the short hair. It's like when they white wash or left out green martian and invented cyborg. Thor meeds long hair.

reply

I agree. It’s one of his trademark characteristics.

Ohhh, you mean the Martian Manhunter. I was confused for a second there. It looks like you conflated Green Lantern and the Martian Manhunter together.

reply

Yeah, I liked the movie a lot but I see what you're saying. I'd rather see Thor with long hair.

I'm trying to go for an entertaining, informative youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see and if you have any thoughts or criticisms, i'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance. Review right here- https://youtu.be/9qSxC3AVAvA

I agree that Hemsworth is hotter with long hair.

But he can't be not hot, you cut his hair or shave his head and paint it poison green, and he'd still be hot!

reply

I bet you anything that he never had a single awkward moment as a teenager.

reply

I don't know about that, he's the kind of man who needs to grow up and fill out before he reaches his full hotness potential.

Before that, he may have actually been gangly, for a day or two!

reply

I agree.

It's a gladiatorial thing. Gladiators had their heads shaved or cut short before going into the arena.

reply

That's a good point.

reply

Were there Norse gladiators though? Though that was more a Mediterranean-European thing

reply

It was a clear declaration from the filmmakers that "we don't care anymore."

reply

They cut his hair!!!

They had the worse make up ever for a guy that lost his eye!!!

Arrrrrrrg!!!

reply

I couldn't figure it out. First I was all, "Oh wow, they went there, they took Thor's eye." Then later I was like, wait a minute, did they? Looks more like just a burn or something. It looked bad.

And I REALLY wanted to see the ball of lightening in the empty socket that I was sure was coming toward the end. That was gonna be one of the most iconic scenes in a movie ever. Nope. Nothing.

reply

So hair was strange, but missing one eye and no hammer was ok?

All this I think was part of the transition of Thor to the successor of Odin as new leader of the Asgards and with enhanced powers.

reply

No, the hammer was 50/50. The eye thing was terrible. The make up was a joke.

reply

I thought the short hair was an improvement, especially as it was darker than the long sun bleached hair. He was hotter with short hair. Nobody really looks that good in long hair, except for the few minutes of perfection shown in shampoo/conditioner commercials.
