Anyone else find it weird that they didn't have Thor inquire into the whereabouts of Sif and the Warriors Three? I know it was pretty much straight into battle once they got to Asgard but don't you think they could have thrown in a quick inquiry about them to Heimdall while fighting on the bridge? Heimdall tells him Sif is MIA and that Hela killed the three, who are his BEST FRIENDS on Asgard, and Thor goes a little extra crazy and has a little extra motivation behind his ass kicking.

Yeah, you'd think there would be more angst over Asgard and most of his friends dying.

Sif could always potentially come back but even so, it is really weird that Thor didn't give a crap.

When did Thor have time to mourn them? He was defeated, enslaved, escaped, fighting, king of Asgard, all in very rapid succession. Through all of it he had to put all his effort into staying alive, getting free, and doing his duty to his people, he wouldn't be able to take time to mourn the dead until after the end credits.

And I'm going to assume that he did mourn, and that I don't need to see it on film. I never liked those "warriors three" much anyway.

Rewatched the first Thor the other night and had me thinking about this again. There is so much in that first movie glorifying their friendship. I hated seeing them get killed off so quickly anyway but this really solidified how shitty it was to not give them at least a mention toward the end.

Asgard is destroyed, most of Asgard's army even the elite (The Einherjar) were killed, the Warriors Three were killed, the Tree of life connecting the Nine realms may not be in place anymore, Mjlonir is destroyed, Odin is dead and Thor barely sheds a tear. the biggest fault of this movie is the way Taika treated all of this destruction by de-constructing who Thor was and is.

As entertaining as the movie was the trivializing of Asgard and Thor wasn't worth it for a few more butts in seats.

Thor lost an eye, gained a larger sense of humor but clearly lost his entire soul and perspective as directed by Taika. Thor is now more Human and vulnerable than Godlike. Sad.

Then now I rewatch the Avengers and remember how confused I was about Natasha not even telling Clint that Coulson died. Like, the one guy that probably knew him better than anyone else on the team doesn't even get told he was killed. That always upset me.
