Amazing -42.7% weekend drop! Goes past 800M WW and counting! Disney/Marvel killing it this year :)

Domestic: $291,406,599 35.7%
+ Foreign: $525,000,000 64.3%
= Worldwide: $816,406,599

The Avenger IW trailer most likely helped it out during this week and it should be either $300M or extremely close by the end of next week! It also dropped roughly 41% internationally this weekend. Marvel is certainly dominating the CBM landscape!

The question is how close does it get to GOTG2 and Spiderman HC in worldwide totals?

Spider-Man:Homecoming -
Domestic: $334,201,140 38.0%
+ Foreign: $545,965,784 62.0%
= Worldwide: $880,166,924

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 -
Domestic: $389,813,101 45.1%
+ Foreign: $473,752,426 54.9%
= Worldwide: $863,565,527

Excellent! How marvelous would it be if it not only gets very near GOTG2’s worldwide gross, but actually surpasses it. While the latter is unlikely, it might get close.

In any event, the movie is a bonafide smash hit! And for all the right reasons. Marvel/Disney have plenty of reasons to celebrate.
