How will the Hulk and Thor fight go?

What do you think will happen? Will there be a winner or will it be interrupted like their Avengers fight? If there is a winner, who will it be?

reply

How could we know?

The thread is meant for theories.

Hulk loses control. He flings Thor around.

Thor uses his hammer beating him to a pulp.

reply

Ikr. Hulk didn't even win against Iron Man in Hulkbuster suit. Hulk just angry, Hulk pretty weak.

reply

That's how I see it. The Avengers 2 had him facing iron man and if it goes that way it's pretty predictable. Maybe they will surprise us, but the third in any trilogy always fails in surprises so my hopes aren't up.

reply

Yeah, I remember certain points in the Avengers movies where Hulk has trouble even picking up Thor's hammer. Hulk is really just big, Thor's got the strength advantage.

I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the trailer here- https://youtu.be/iCaidEPANas

Only worthy beings are capable of picking up Thor's hammer. Strength for the most part doesn't really matter when it comes to holding that thing.

reply

Nah, Hulk only lost because Wanda's mindcontrol wore off - he was confused and saddened about the fear he inflicted, before beginning to ramp up his rage when Iron Man sucker punched him. You'd also note his rage wasn't "pure", he was in a confused/angry state at the beginning of the fight - he only got stronger and stronger as the fight went on.

If hulk isn't beating a hammerless Thor, I'll be sad - h2h in a brawl: Hulk > Thor. Though, by the looks of it, Thor seems to be getting the first hit in! ;)

reply

It's a Thor movie. Thor should not be the loser. Just like Captain America must win in Captain America: Civil War.

Hulk can be the winner all he want in a Hulk movie.

reply

Like how Kurse just obliterated him in the last movie? ;)

It's ok for the hero to lose, and have someone better than him at one thing - Thor's powerset moves far beyond just strength, and while he is close to Hulk in terms of pure strength, he just shouldn't be able to beat him in an extended brawl, without interferrence.

But neither should Hulkbuster, really - mindcontrol or not...

reply

I agree with what you are saying here.

1 problem though is the Avenger movies have really not demonstrated the Hulk's full power. in the marvel universe in terms of strength and destructive capabilities Hulk is on a whole other level then most characters. In the first Avengers film the way the characters fear him does a good job of suggesting this and the little we did see of Hulk in Avengers did show this, but Avengers 2 not so much. Also we have to keep in mind the Hulk in this marvel universe did not really get his own film. The Norton Hulk was Universal not Marvel though they used that film in the continuity. So in terms of Film Hulk is at a disadvantage. It would not surprise me if Thor ended up winning like Hulkbuster not because he is weaker but the film will handicap him somehow. Can't have Hulk dominating the Thor movie, right?

reply

The Incredible Hulk was a Marvel movie. Universal just distributed it. In the same regard, the first two Iron Man movies, the first Cap movie, and the first Thor movie were all distributed by Paramount. Disney has done the rest, but they are all in the same universe.

reply

I did not know about the others but Universal still own the rights to the character so it is a little different, hence why Hulk will not be getting a stand alone film unless universal does another. Marvel can only use him as a secondary character.

reply

Right. I just wanted to point out the Incredible Hulk movie is still in continuity and everything. Some people get confused about that one.

reply

OH, I got you. Yes continuity speaking they did a good job of keeping it. The point I was trying to make is that because Marvel does not own the character they likely will never show Hulk's full power, because he will always be secondary behind iron man or Thor.

reply

True, although if the rumors are true, Hulk will tackle Surtur in this movie, which should be pretty damn impressive.

reply

That would be pretty cool. I am looking forward to this one.

reply

I bet you ten bucks that the fight is interrupted before a clear winner, probably by Loki who is sitting there looking miserable.

But if the fight between Hulk and a hammerless Thor went all the way, I'd put my money on Hulk.

reply

More than likely
