Confused about after credit scene for Dr Strange.

The reason this is here is because at the end of Thor 2, Thor believes Loki to be dead. Loki is really posing as Odin while Odin is really dead.

So thor shows up in Dr strange with loki looking for Odin?

I don't get it.

I would assume events take place between these moments that we haven't seen , and likely will be part of the beginning of this movie, with Thor telling Strange and others how he discovered what Loki did , what maybe happened to Odin , and why NY is his next destination to finding him.

That scene occurs during the events of Ragnarok. By that time, Thor would have already known that Loki was pretending to be Odin.

Urich: Guess I have more faith in humanity. Fisk: So did Christ, if I recall.

I was confused about that too. Perhaps Thor figured it out between movies? If not it's a goof.

The end credits scene for Ant-Man showed Cap and Falcon talking after capturing Bucky. This turned out to be completed footage from Civil War that they provided as a sneak peek. The same thing is happening here. This scene has already been shot for Thor 3 and was previewed after Doctor Strange. It obviously takes place partway through Ragnarok.
