Whatever happened to it being buddy movie?

I remember last year they announce it would be Thor and Hulk buddy movie, but now they are saying that Thor and Hulk will battle eachother?

reply

I'm confused about that too. Next, we'll hear it's actually a 'bromance' love story.

Whatever you are, be a good one.

They are going to fight in a gladiator arena. So even if they still are friends, they'll have to fight each other in that moment. I'm pretty sure that there will be more scenes in the movie where they are fighting together.

Uh, there's no reason it still can't be. Thor and Hulk will be forced to battle each other on Sakaar, most likely because of the Grandmaster controlling the gladiatorial games. Once they escape they'll have to somehow travel from Sakaar back to Asgard, which is where the buddy movie element comes in. Once they're back on Asgard, they have to battle Hela and her undead army to stop Ragnarok and the destruction of Asgard.

It's not rocket science.

reply

Yep, as the posters above have already said, it's just a gladiatorial match forced upon them. After that they will have to journey back to Asgard and fight off Hela, Surtur and Fenris.

reply

It never was a buddy movie, everybody jumped to the incorrect conclusion it will be.

Isn't tango & cash a buddy movie?

I've reached the conclusion that the Hulk won't be in the film for long and that Thor and Bruce won't be going on a journey together - therefore it won't be a 'buddy' film.
