Is Meg Ryan´s Triumphal comeback?

I was looking forward to this but the movie seems completely cliched and uninspired. she won't be able to 'triumphally come back' until she drops that hairstlye that literally nobody had heard of or seen in the 1940s when this movie is set. come on Meg. really.

it may sound bitchy but I have a point. hairstyle is an acting choice and if she opted to look same old Meg Ryan then it's clear to me that she isn't taking any risks as a director either.

Oh you are so right, I really was emotionally touched by the whole movie; I think that Meg Ryan did a phenomenal job w/directing and acting as well. I'm so very proud of her and was always a fan of hers I never stopped being a fan of Meg Ryan. I blame Hollywood for making her feel like a "throw away", it was like after all that Russell Crowe "fiasco" that Hollywood decided she wasn't "America's Sweetheart" anymore which is sad b/c Crowe was just much to blame, but Meg really got it worst. Look I loved Dennis Quaid but Meg Ryan put up w/a lot of crap from him during their marriage - w/his drug use, and yes his "womanizing" as well. I think the BEST that came out the marriage is their wonderful talented son Jack Quaid; he's an amazing actor who isn't using his famous parent's to get acting jobs b/c he's talented on his own. Meg has really been bashed, made fun of b/c of plastic surgery (like really half of Hollywood actors/actresses do it), but for some reason they made Meg Ryan the "poster child" for plastic surgery w/all the disgusting derogatory remarks. I'm glad she is still very close friends w/the talented, sweet Tom Hanks, and Billy Crystal. She's a wonderful, gentle soul w/a great talent - she can act and now directing this movie shows just how versatile she really is. God Bless You Meg Ryan - I think you are a beautiful brilliant lady who deserves respect. Its time you stop getting your heart broken and I wish you the best - you deserve a man who respects you and from what I read John Mellencamp doesn't deserve you at all for the way he treated you, let that "bimbo" have him, I'm sure everyone knows who I am talking about, put it this way she's been married probably more than Elizabeth Taylor, and has always been on the loony side (hint: She's NO "Uptown Girl") and goes thru men like nothing so you can have Mellencamp especially after he broke up w/Meg Ryan w/o telling her they were "broken up"...Great Movie Meg Ryan - people say "she's back" but I don't think you ever left b/c you are extremely talented - TAKE THAT HOLLYWIERD! My girl rocks! SORRY SO LONG AND A LITTLE OFF TOPIC BUT I HAD TO SAY JUST WHAT MEG RYAN HAS BEEN THROUGH OVER THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS, STILL GETTING HER HEART BROKEN FROM LOVE AND THE TABLOIDS TEARING UP ON HER.
