Family issues

Was there an episode in the second season resolving the issues with Liv's mother & brother? I ask because I only recall seeing them in the first episode of the season but maybe I missed something. Turned out I missed tge Hurt Stalker episode so might have missed something else too.

reply

Nope. There was a deleted scene with the brother on one of the DVD's though.

Interesting...wonder if they plan on doing anything in season 3. May I ask what the deleted scene was? I don't have the dvds and watched on Netflix.

Liv outted herself as a zombie to her brother who outted himself to her as gay. This happened during one of those sessions where a therapist or support group tells a person with issues like Evan to clear up old problems/make peace. The indications from Rob Thomas is that this will not be dealt with in Season 3.

Thanks. :)

I hope they do resolve this in season 3. I don't understand this plot line. I mean she told her best friend and ex-boyfriend but not her family? Especially when they expressed such concern about her current life choices and then the issue of not being able to give her brother blood.

She was outed and that's nowhere near what you said. She was outed to Peyton by having to go into rage mode to save her life and by Blaine after the Meat Cute Massacre.
Especially when they expressed such concern about her current life choices and then the issue of not being able to give her brother blood.
OK when the show started Liv had been on the brains for 5 months and was somewhat depressed. Do you honestly think she could trust her mother and her 16 year old brother to keep their mouths shut and do nothing ? No way. Her mother especially would be trying to do something to find a cure. Better to remain quiet. Especially since she thought the condition was permanent with no hope for a cure.

So 6-7 months later Evan gets royally blown up. The original objections still apply and you now can add putting another 30-40 people in imminent danger of death.

It's a balancing act of possible damage versus perceived benefit. The damge side of the equation is just too big.

If you were turned into this type of zombie?

I don't think I could handle this. Grave digging and such. Plus the knowing I could accidentally turn someone.

So personally I think I would turn myself in. Or shot myself in the head because I don't think I would want to be studied and tested on.

Or I might come out to the media. So I could be helped with getting the cure but I would hope having media involved would stop horrible testing.
