"I never saw Star Wars"......Deal breaker?

That scene when you see the look on Ravi's face when the girl says she never saw Star Wars was priceless. One of the best moments in the entire show's run.

So....if a girl you really like turns out to have never seen Star Wars and you clearly get the vibe she doesn't ever care to nor will she like it if she ever did....is possible GF status immediately thrown out the window?

I say yes.

Have you ever noticed that the people who say "DC is for adults and Marvel is for kids", are kids?

Depends. Opposites can attract, too. Ravi is giving up on a nice girl, maybe he likes them tougher.

But it didn't just stop at the SW reference, he also looked very disappointed about the poem comment. It was two strikes and he probably felt the third was inevitable.

Yes.

Not so fast bucko. When I met my wife, she had never seen any Star Wars movie. Still together 23 years later and she's seen all 7 now and liked a couple.

The Star Wars thing gave him huge pause, but it was the "transgressive poetry" comment that was the final deal breaker.

ravi is the type of person where not seeing star wars is straight up weird. it's equivalent to someone saying i don't listen to music. if you met someone who said that, you would be thinking weirdo.

Talk about first world problems. People who put that much importance on a fictional show/movie are a dealbreaker for me; which actually helps me a lot when I want guys that I'm not interested in to leave me alone. All I gotta say is that I hate Game of Thrones and those guys quickly disappear as they came in.

reply

I've honestly never seen a Star Wars' film but I might in the future. Just never been interested in watching them.

So, no. Not a deal breaker to me.

Then you better start with episode IV or Jar Jar will end it.

reply

If you ever do in the future...I STRONGLY suggest seeing the original trilogy first (Episodes 4, 5 and 6).
You can skip 1, 2 and 3. Only see them if you really loved the original trilogy and want to explore more of the SW universe.
And you can easily see the new one without seeing 1, 2 and 3 as well.
