CROWD REPORTS

Please post when you went, how full was your theater, what trailers were shown, and your reaction.

Film was decent, and wholly unmemorable. Theater was a little more than half full. I went on a Saturday, at around 3 p.m. I remember seeing trailers for "London has Fallen", "Finding Dory", "The Young Messiah", and "Miracles from Heaven". There were others, but I don't recall the titles.

We were late. AMC stadium seating, full, clapped at the end. Mixed crowd.

I saw it Friday, February 19, at 7:20. Theater a little less than half full. Trailers were

The Perfect Match
Finding Dory
Barbershop: The Next Cut
Miracles from Heaven
Independence Day: Resurgence
The Young Messiah
London Has Fallen

I liked it quite a bit. The audience applauded at the end.

Kvlhok...

Good grief that's a lot of trailers to sit through. Sounds like the movie listed as 7:20 probably didn't actually begin until nearly 8 o'clock.

My wife and I attended Sunday, March 6 at a 12:15 showing. Theater had no more than two dozen people, probably about half were black. I thought the trailers were totally forgettable and can't tell you the names of any of them. One of them, I remember, will be released on May 6--I remember because the numbers for that date were displayed in a huge font and were up there longer than the title.

Nobody applauded at the end. We thought the movie was mostly well done--I would say I'll rate it a 7 out of 10.

They did, sort of, repeat the myth about Hitler snubbing Owens. I thought it odd that the only "mention" of Owens' treatment by our president was some on-screen text at the end saying "the White House" didn't acknowledge him until many years later. St. Franklin was never mentioned, but he was indeed the president who Jesse felt snubbed him in his comments in 1936 where he stated on more than one occasion that Hitler did not snub him, but our president did.

There was no depiction of Hitler waving to Owens and no mention of him shaking his hand away from the crowds, as has been reported.

I thought the funniest line was when Jesse arrived at Ohio State and met his coach, he was told "I don't care about your grades. You're here to run." Seems some things never change.

Liberal Hollywood wouldn't dare criticize for.
