Civil War is Simply One More Masterpiece To Add To Marvel's Resume

An absolutely stunning movie from start to finish. It's what Batman v Superman failed to be: Smart, invigorating, engaging, powerful, emotional, exhilarating, FUN and entertaining.

Bravo, Marvel. Bravo, Russo Brothers. Bravo, Feige.

And *beep* you Zack Snyder.

Well, I save the term "masterpiece" for a very small group of films. Civil War was pretty solid, and probably the best movie of the year so far, but from my point of view, far from a masterpiece.

reply

I think its the masterpiece of Marvel. There are better movies, but this the best marvel movie to date in my opinion; and maybe the most entertaining comic book movie to date.

Yep, I choose to focus on the "bravo" aspect. Stay positive.

The world has told Zack Snyder to bleep off. Adding to it seems cruel at this point.

Marvel is truly creating a legacy and it looks like it's only going to get better in the near future at least.

The entire MCU is just an amazing piece of work. It's wonderful to see it all growing together.

Now if we can just get Feige to truly listen to the fans and get some of the Netflix heroes to cameo in Infinity War. Then it can truly "all grow together."

Is this the best case scenario for Disney? Marvel erasing ESPN's fall?

I completely agree. Civil War was everything that BvS wanted to be, but actually had an idea how to pull it off.

reply

Was it ever possible for BvS to pull it off given both characters? Superman is shallow and one dimensional and Batman has been played out to death. There was no fresh take possible when you think about it.

reply

That's easier said AND done.

Who is paying you to write this?

The family of Joe DiMaggio.

After all, it's the 75th Anniversary of the 56 Game Hit Streak! They have to spend their money on something.

Anyone that found BvS "fascinating and mysterious" probably has trouble cooking pasta. The idea of boiling water must confound, captivate but ultimately confuse them.

The exact number is 97.8%.

It's a 97.8% fact that Civil War is indeed a Masterpiece.

Get your numbers right.

reply

Okay, fair enough. Whatever the number, Civil War is a great movie while BvS is trash.
