im surprised people think so highly of this film

The civil war seemed so forced. Quick cheap way to get them at odds.

The war itself was so lame. One battle where it was obvious from the start that nobody wanted to really hurt anyone else so they are basically sparring. It was cool to see Spiderman in action though.

The bad guy was a huge let down. So many holes in his plan. For starters... there was no way of expecting them of being able to capture the Winter Soldier instead of killing him.

reply

It was just a much better version of BvS...

A WHOLE LOT better!

This, and Deadpool are the best CBMs of 2016, IMO!

reply

What about Doctor strange?

Doctor strange is the best MCU film yet IMO 

You said it yourself pal, we're the guardians of the galaxy!

reply

Don't ever compare Civil War to BvS. That's the biggest insult you could ever say about Civil War.

reply

I gave this movie good review and I thought it was genuinely good (although I did have problems). But I, quite honestly, can't understand the level of (over-)appreciation that this movie have been receiving since it have come out. Sure, it's certainly a cinematic masterpiece in comparison to movies like Iron Man 2-3 and those unbearable Thor movies, but it doesn't deserve to be regarded as the best movie of 2016, like a lot of people make it to be. Of course, I know that the majority of those "This Movie is a Masterpiece" topics are created by Uber-Clown and his army of sock accounts. But there are people who eulogize this movie without trolling. I don't think this movie is the best MCU movie (since Iron Man is still the best), or even the best Captain America movie (since Winter Soldier was better). Let alone "One of the Best CMB ever done." I think it's good, but nothing more than that.

Depends on how ashamed of comics you are. This is for the unashamed, but unfortunately thanks to Nolan and Singer too many people are ashamed.

Well, you are definitely very ashamed. You gave praise Iron Man 3 for shoehorning lame message about terrorism instead of making the movie more like the comics.

This is for the unashamed,

Are you unashamed that your vocabulary is so repetitive?

but unfortunately thanks to Nolan and Singer too many people are ashamed.

I think IMDB should ban the word "shame" and anything that is synonymous with it, like it did with swearing. But, of course, if that will happen, you will lose 70% of your vocabulary.

It's a very important message, especially in today's xenophobic environment.

Are you unashamed that your vocabulary is so repetitive?

If someone asks you "What's two plus two?" do you give an answer other than "four"?

reply

It's a very important message,

For people that are ashamed of the comics and want comic book canon to be butchered in the most ashamed way possible.

especially in today's xenophobic environment.

Environment that is fulfilled with people like you, the guy who said that Holocaust wasn't that big of a deal.

If someone asks you "What's two plus two?" do you give an answer other than "four"?

You just proved my point further more. This is the same response you're using every time when people call you out for your primitiveness.

reply

Nah, it's for all people. Especially in todays' xenophobic environment.

Are you really SO offended that someone mentioned that millions of Soviets and Chinese died horribly in WWII?

You just proved my point further more.

That the stuff you say really only has one response.

reply

Nah, it's for all people.

Which means that there are people who will be ashamed. People like you, for example.

Especially in todays' xenophobic environment.

Which exists mainly due to people like you. But you don't need to use this cheap excuse to defend your shame for the source material. You are disgusted by the comics, I know. Luckily, I love comics, unlike you. Heck, I'm reading them right now just make you feel ashamed even more.

Are you really SO offended that someone mentioned that millions of Soviets and Chinese died horribly in WWII?

I'm not offended. I'm more amused, actually. By your blatant ignorance.

That the stuff you say really only has one response.

Response which is not even the correct one.

reply

Which means that there are people who will be ashamed.

And hopefully become unashamed.

What a shameful thing to say.

It's not my fault you think those people didn't matter.

Response which is not even the correct one.

So now you don't even think 2 + 2 + 4. Sad.

reply

And hopefully become unashamed.

Unashamed of what, Samyboy? Before saying that others have to become unashamed, you have to become unashamed of the fact that you are utter hypocrite.

What a shameful thing to say.
#

You intentionally provoke people to make fun of you, Samyboy?

It's not my fault you think those people didn't matter.

Except, I did not say that they did not matter. However, Samyboy, you did say that Holocaust wasn't as important as people making it out to be.

So now you don't even think 2 + 5 + 4. Sad.

See, you can't even count.

reply

Unashamed of what, Samyboy?

CBMs that embrace their nature.

If you won't acknowledge them, you're saying they don't matter.

See, you can't even count.

Typo, sorry.

reply

CBMs that embrace their nature.

But MCU movies embrace mostly superficial elements of the comics. Comics are way more than just visual extravaganzas filled with comedic puns.

What a shameful thing to say.

So you do?

If you won't acknowledge them, you're saying they don't matter.

That is not how logic works, Samyboy. I never said that I don't acknowledge it, you little salty liar.

Typo, sorry.

Sending two exact same responses is not a typo.

Then prove it and acknowledge.

I got wrapped up in replying to things and replied to something I already replied to.

reply

Get a life moldy, you're just jealous this made BvS look like kiddie crap.

[deleted]

It's not a rip off you idiot. You defend BvS yet call this film a mess? Hypocritical much?

"Never tell me the odds!"- Han Solo

reply

[deleted]

Throwing each other through walls is not a battle.

Those are mere similarities that doesn't make it a rip off.

"Never tell me the odds!"- Han Solo

reply

[deleted]

The real conflict was the war itself.

The only characters that were telly jokes were the ones that were supposed to.

BvS couldn't have motivations two characters how sad.

"Never tell me the odds!"- Han Solo

[deleted]

why so salty, joby ?

i feed the trolls and have them tap dancing for my amusement

reply

Ran out of arguments? Thought so.

What facts other than bullsh!t that you clearly pulled out of your ass?

"Never tell me the odds!"- Han Solo

reply

[deleted]

*sigh* Here we go with the childish insults.

"Never tell me the odds!"- Han Solo

reply

Yeah it was a very forced movie since they stole the idea from BvS and were scared of the film being outdone. The original Cap 3 was suppose to be about the Serpent Society.

reply

That was a joke you idiot, they had Civil War planned before the first trailer for BvS even dropped.

"Never tell me the odds!"- Han Solo

reply

[deleted]

Yeah they did, don't get salty.

reply

They clearly said it was just to keep the Civil War title a secret.

Other than Black Panther.

Have you ever gotten p!ssed off at your friends? Did you want to cause them real harm, or just slap them up-side of their head?

Everyone there wants to be a hero in the sense that they want to stop the bad guys who look to cause harm. They just have different views of how it should be done. Why try to kill or seriously harm someone who fights against evil?

reply

[deleted]

They make the same movie over and over again

So does Star Wars, James Bond, X-Men, etc...

reply

lmao.the adults call the film civil kid and comedy war for the same reasons OP.

reply

So true wormy the kiddies hate BvS because it's too mature for their kiddie brains

reply

There was nothing mature about BvS, only kiddies like you and Wormkid confuse bad movies with dark lighting as mature.

PS: Seriously the whole you didn't get it BS?

"Never tell me the odds!"- Han Solo

reply

[deleted]

What was mature about BvS?

"Never tell me the odds!"- Han Solo

reply

[deleted]

Yeah I looked at the definition of mature and BvS was the exact opposite of that definition.

"Never tell me the odds!"- Han Solo

reply

Adults? I hope you don't mean yourself because you're pretty much the only idiot who call this great movie those silly names, well you and your multiple socks and copycat accounts.

I'm getting tired of saying this but the little voices in your head don't account for everyone else.

"Never tell me the odds!"- Han Solo

reply

No, just the ones ashamed of comic books.

reply

So what if they killed Bucky instead of capturing him? If that happens, then the bad guy just comes up with a new plan. It's like being handed a free gambling chip. He doesn't really lose anything if his gamble fails.

reply

And depending on how Bucky gets killed it could splinter the team right there. mission accomplished.
