Why do networks keep giving this guy shows?

He is so painfully unfunny and irritating. Everything he does bombs whether it is his awful standup, that awful unwatchable disaster late night show he had, or the awful sitcoms. The guy must have a serious friend or connection in Hollywood or is blackmailing someone. Lopez makes even Ashton Kutcher(another person who bombs in everything yet still somehow gets work) look important. This show looks awful and will last 1 season at most even on FX.

Agreed. He has NEVER been funny...

Amen! I tell people this all the time! I have to say tho that I thought he was funny back in 2004 when i first saw his standups, but after every mexican and their momma quoted him, it got annoying super fast.
Now, he's just old f'n news who's NOT funny. What a waste of a spot for a show.

Agree! I used to watch his sitcom though the tired formula quickly
got so tired after two seasons and surprisingly it lasted six
seasons! Then George Lopez had his own late night talk show
which I tried watching though never got into and the network
bosses had the good sense to cancel the show. And now us
viewers are faced with yet another lame looking sitcom on FX?
I may tune in for the premiere though like the other poster
has predicted it will end by getting axed.

Yess. It looks like it should be on Nick bc it looks that fake. I know for sure I won't watch the premiere just bc I don't care to remind myself about it anymore lol. I'm 25 and I sure miss the hell out of orginial tv series that made sense and made me laugh based on ACTUAL funny lines and not lines that you can predict before they're spoken. (Esp in THIS new series.) Mark my words.<---
Trust me, to this day I can name so many broken shows on tv, it's pitiful.
I fear for the future of television.
