Carrie's Death

OK so Henny doesn't question why there's a big can of rat poison next to Carrie's freshly baked donuts?

The most common active ingredients in rat poison are anticoagulants and strychnine. Both would cause a pretty ugly death (bleeding from the mouth/nose/ears, convulsions, expulsion of body fluids from the mouth, etc. She wouldn't just be lying there all put together and peaceful looking. Yes, it's a movie, but come on.

Great balls of fire!...*hiccup*...It's Rhett!

I know this sounds stupid because of where it comes from but here goes; like you, i thought that rat poison would produce a more violent death. However, in Scream Queens, a character states that if a human was given rat poison they would vomit it back up again because rats have no gag reflex and that is why it works on them.

Believe me, I am not basing all of my knowledge on a campy TV show, but you seem quite intelligent - based on your knowlege of the chemicals involved and their effects. Is this information accurate or complete BS?

In the book, that didn't happen. Cathy and Carrie lived in a small cottage without Henny. Carrie didn't make the donuts. She bought them and put the poison on them. She hid it all in her closet until she past away. Then Carrie found it.
