Inquiry (possible spoiler)

What was the deal with Noah. At first I thought he was a figment of her imagination. He seemed to pop up all the time and only spoke to her. And you never saw the "crew" he was with.

But he did interact with Leila at one time. The dad seemed to look right through him. He never acknowledged him the few times he did see him. Very odd.

Movie was a waste of time. I don't know what it was trying to be. Supernatural? Horror? Suspense thriller? When I got it at Redbox it was under "Drama". Even they weren't sure how to cantagorize it.

It's a thriller with hints at the supernatural to throw us off. I gave it 7/10. Read the critics review on the main page.

I gave it a generous 7 as well. Miranda was quite good, nothing bad about the movie at all.. Just nothing new. Noah was definitely weird, he seemed so suspicious until the end. Especially picking her up around the corner in his sketchy work van

One of the few things I thought the movie did well was to set us up to think that Noah was imaginary or the doer. It was subtle enough that it felt like they were trying to be clever rather than misleading.

They also slid the foreshadowing on her being the only one that drinks the juice right passed me. But I think that was me being slow.

So did I! At first I was totally sure that Noah was either fake or the bad guy. Then when the killer called her "Rosie Rose" like Noah did I was convinced they were working together/knew each other. It was a really good movie though.

I also thought Noah was Marcus and that Leila was Rachel for awhile. I thought they had dyed their dark hair blonde etc. And even when I realized that Leila wasn't Rachel I still thought Marcus was Noah I kept expecting his wig to fall off or something. They did do a good job of setting it up to look that way with Marcus calling her Rosie Rose and getting the glass and drinking the water exactly like Noah did, but then I realized he knew she liked Noah and probably was just mimicking his actions. The only part that confused me was when Noah was in the house with her and she hears a noise and thinks it's him and goes to the basement and sees Marcus ( she doesn't know who it is) standing in the corner of that room and Boah was nowhere to be found. Why did he leave without saying bye, that was the only odd part and even after they moved I kept expecting to learn that Noah and Marcus were brothers lol.

The thing that really had me questioning Noah's involvement or motives was how he acted when he picked her up to take her to the hotel party. When Rose questioned his mom not letting him leave, he acted kind of funny and fumbled over his words a bit as if he were trying to hide something. Made me think that his mother could be Cheri. He was careful to never entertain the idea that Cheri could be up to nefarious things, as well. It was all a bit misleading, I think. I feel like that they were trying so hard to surprise the viewers that they put too much emphasis on Noah and ended up making the viewers feel lied to. At least that's how I felt.
