Love how it has the original voice actors

Not crazy about the redesign of the characters because they look nothing like chipmunks.
But I love how Ross Bagdasarian and Janice Karman are still doing the voices. So far I saw the one with the magical birthday and the flying drone app and the alien goo one. It's not that bad. I used to love the 1983 NBC series and I even found the episodes on kisscartoon.

Am glade they used the original theme song from the 80's. Ross's father also did the voice of dave in the 60's TV series

I really wish they'd restore the 1961 episodes. they replayed them on Weinerville back in 1994. I loved it.

Me too. I'm not that crazy about the character design either, but I'm really glad they used the original voice actors and theme song from the 80s version. Definitely nice for long time fans of the 80s version.

I had to check out an episode for the theme song

because I tried to get my 5 year old grand nephew an episode of the 80s version on youTube on thanksgiving

And immediately he mentioned how much he hates the show And I'm sitting there thinking "how does he know this version of show?"

So I went to nick.com and Wow. That is pretty awesome they're using the original theme song. Sucks it's an edit of it. but still awesome

Ross Bagdasarian Jr is doing the voices. All this is his late father's legacy.

The fact that they are using the same voice talent from the 80's and the same theme song are definite pluses in my book. Just hearing that theme song gave me the chills, and for the briefest of moments I was transported back to my childhood.

Ah, the 80's. When the world was new and seemingly full of endless possibilities... Anyway, being able to hear Ross Jr. and Janice voice their old roles is a delight. Even if I'm not hep on the CGI/redesign, or the integration of 'bathroom humor'.

I also give them credit for continuing the family legacy by including a third generation of Bagdsarian's (their son writes some of the scripts and does incidental voices, while their daughter is the new voice of Elenor).
