Something About Smoking

While watching this I noticed soldiers smoking filter cigarettes. The patent for cigarette filters was made in 1925. The first filter cigarette was manufactured in 1935. World War I was 1914-1918. Did somebody in research/continuity slip up, or has someone in The Crimson Field production team got a time machine?! :p
