Did Josiah see the money? (spoiler)

In the scene where Josiah and his partner first met Ada on the church steps, was there a quick shot showing Josiah getting a glimpse of the moneybag? Because soon after, Josiah insisted that his partner go home - wouldn't take no for an answer. Then he went straight back to the church and...

That whole sequence would have made more sense, if the camera had shown Josiah getting just a peek at the moneybag at his first meeting with Ada.

Yeah, he deff seen the money.. It wasn't in his personality to just food up and quit, and he couldn't quit the Chase soon enough once they came across the wife in shock..

The fact that he goes for the money as soon as his partner leaves means he did see the money. The movie didn’t show him seeing the bag because they wanted the next scene to be a surprise. But the movie intends for the viewer to assume that he saw the bag at the outset.
