Bad wannabe tarantino *spoilers*

Ok, so i started fast forwarding the entire thing after twenty minutes of trying to get into it.

So why did the daughter kill her sister and her loving gentle dad, but then leave her *beep* of mother alive?

reply

She didnt she killed em all.
Trying so hard to be Tarantino but fell flat.

Eastwood good performance but couldnt save this violent nasty travesty!

Its uncle Frank Kirsty!
Its time to play!

reply

Eastwood daughter looks photogenic at certain angles, but when she opens her mouth, her personality is a turn off, ruins her looks.

reply

Dunno some guys go for the rough , tough personality.
Takes after her dad obviously!
Dirty Francesca!

reply

I like rough tough girls. Francesca Eastwood is just not sexy when she opens her mouth. She looks like a less pretty and much less sexy version of this girl Izabelle Desjardins. Now that girl's job is talking, and she is still sexy af.

reply

Have you heard about a thing called acting? What's her personality got to do with it?

reply

She kills her dad because he was raping her. Killed her sister because she liked getting molested by her dad. Her sister had gotten pregnant by her dad and he removed it. Her mother knew what was going on. The family was totally f?cked up.

reply

I thought she looked like Brett Michaels.

Go back and watch the whole thing properly, so you won't have to ask questions...
No offense, but that's like the girlfriend who talks all the way through a film, then asks what's happening and who people are!!

Bad wannabe tarantino

I don't think it wanted to be Tarantino specifically... and I'm quite glad of it, truth be told. Quentin is very gifted, but he also tries to be *too* clever and *too* niche, which means he often fails to hit the mark.
This runs a lot slower and doesn't try to be clever, but then delivers full power and it's pretty damn stunning.

In the opening credits, when the screen froze to red & black pictures of the cast, that was pure Tarantino.

I was afraid things like that would be all over the picture, but it wasn't, so much.

Gee Woodle, Space Kadoodle!

Really?
I didn't even notice, despite having seen a fair amount of his stuff.

reply

Yes early on in the movie, the opening theme & credits.

And just the very visceral abuse and violence that has been attributed to Tarantino, that he is only partway responsible for.

Gee Woodle, Space Kadoodle!

I find it hilarious that people keep accusing this movie of trying to be like Tarantino. Did you come up with that yourself or from the uninspired critic reviews that said the same? If Tarantino hadn't done a couple of westerns lately I doubt any of you would have even thought of it.

Tarantino is not a particularly original filmmaker, everything he does is influenced or inspired by the movies he loves - I'm not saying that's a bad thing, he makes enjoyable pictures, but accusing people of copying him is pretty ironic.

Someone in this thread mentioned the opening credit style, as if Tarantino came up with it all by himself. Go watch the spaghetti westerns of Sergio Leone if you want to see just one of the many things that inspired Tarantino. This film would've tried to be a lot funnier if it was trying to copy Tarantino.

The fact is, there's so many films now you can claim just about any modern film is a copy of one of them. So should we just stop making new ones? Being influenced by other works doesn't mean it's necessarily bad.

And holy crap... skipping through the film so you have no idea what the story is and then criticising the story? That's a rare display of stupidity. If you think her dad was loving and gentle... well, he was one of those things. And as for her mother... again, you should really watch the whole film before questioning it. You really think you're qualified to judge it when you couldn't even manage the simple act of watching all of it? My god. What an idiot.
