Did Charlie die?!?

I faintly heard the bombs coming in and got very frustrated. WHYYYYY?!?!!

reply

I'm not sure. I'm afraid it's going to be cancelled and so they finished up, just in case. I like it, hope they continue.

I thought that might be Nick. If Fata survived the bombing in the tunnels, it makes sense that Nick could, as well.

I wrote that thread before I saw the episode again. It could have been her protector guy, When she called the president the first time she advised Charlie he [Aaron]will be with you. Since he is dead I felt she will now join him in death. The president not answering the phone will mean she never will hear from her again, but she will no the only way she was to be called was if Charlie had made the kill. The president will know her son and Charlie are together in the after world. The creed group leader will get nothing because the president knows it was Charlie who really killed Fata and kept her promise. At least that's another take on the end.

I know feel Nick is dead and he died for Charlie. His flashbacks were more of a goodby to her. This is backed up by the protector guy was with the Creed group plus he is a sharp shooter remember he was the sniper protecting Nick the first time around so that is how they knew where Fata was for her to call in the air strikes. Also the radio Nick had is one where you have to hold the button down to transmit so he would have either been there or at least very close so my guess is he never made it back into the tunnel. I also feel they would have mentioned they never found him if it was to be not as shown. He gave her the okay to pull the trigger so it would not have to be her who killed him leaving him to die by his own hands.

Ahh, I forgot about the protector. Either way, that could be the end but they could feasible continue on (if it's not cancelled)

I agree. I don't understand why they cancel shows on cliffhangers-The least they could do if they are going to cancel the show, they could at least make a made-for TV movie to wrap everything up. Seemed like Charlie loved Nick, and Nick loved her. Would like to hear more about Nick's life and his past as well.

I know they didn't film the final episode until mid January so by then they knew it was only gonna be one season. Yes you could read the ending in different ways but to me, she is dead. It was to show how TKG was able to psychologically manipulate the president into sociopathic territory. Overall I didn't love this show but I liked the ending.

I got the impression that Charlie was possibly killed in the bombing. I guess that will depend on if the show returns for season 2.

I hope it comes back!

Person is never dead unless the remains are positively identified. Examples: Shaw, Joe Carroll, Jack Bauer, etc

reply

We can only hope Charlie died!

I have just finished the season/series one episode per night.
I do not understand the hate/negativity for Heigl. A pleasant enough looking woman so there must be something that would mean research. Her choice may well have been to keep her in the public eye. The tale was not a documentary. There was hinting at variations of conspiracy within the security agencies and even within the presidential campaigning. As far as reality goes many of us were brought up in the days of such as The Man From UNCLE and Mission impossible The Avengers and New Avengers, The Prisoner all shows being so plausible???? And what about James Bond approaching 100 and still able to kick donkeys.

I had not taken on board that the president had a history of making herself a hero.

Was she sucked into something that later would come calling. Was a black security organisation involved in perpetuating its reason for existence. Creed Group. It seems that at the end we are to believe its boss had her over a barrel and that is not a sexual euphemism. She gets her awaited call from Charlie. No need to respond because the planes are on the way with a very heavy payload. I feel that Charlie is actually less of a sacrifice than the son and in the Presidents mind Charlie one way or another partially to blame. The greater good is that the nation does not discover that a heroic ex military serving national leader may have manipulated the voting public. Nick was disposed of as an unfortunate casualty again involved in the death of her child. The dark depths of this Creed Group knows no boundary and existing body's have been hinted at by many theorists. The vehicle in the distance with the waving male? driver may have been Nick. That does not matter now. The series was not that bad. Males are not enjoying the fact that the lady can do a good job as well as them. They seem to forget that we know so little about the real heroes involved in the various resistance movements WW2 and the OSS at the time. Even during WW1 there were heroic ladies.

If the show is decided to be ended then we are left with much supposition and a president who has been corrupted by the people who secretly run the nation.

I enjoyed it for what it was as I have never been in the White House or Langley.
