nobody cares about the french

Nobody cares about an arrogant man and a 20 minutes CGI walk. See the docu instead

This is coming from someone who probably hasn't even seen the movie...

reply

Saw it in iMax, the movie is stupid

reply

True

reply

Yeah, weird isn't it. You'd think people would want to see it, especially as it's a true story.

reply

Since when are biopics guarenteed for boxoffice succes?

reply

I could barely tolerate the trailers of this movie. I'm sure it's well made, but I think many people are like me and don't want to spend two hours looking straight down 120 stories. TWC also represents a lot of painful memories for many people and, even though this movie has nothing to do with those events, it still fells like capitalizing on a tragic event to line the pockets of overpaid studio executives.

Marketing ploy or not, it's breathtakingly beautiful.

It looks at fake as a STAR WARS prequel.

His French accent is terrible. I left the movie within 5 min because I didn't want to end up hating JGL.

reply

You left after 5 minutes? That must be some sort of record? Did you request a refund?

reply

Just some thoughts:

1. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is not a star. He can't sell a movie on him alone.

2. The movie is pushing itself 100% on being a 3D experience & the whole "Gotta See it in 3D" has run it's course.

3. Most Americans still have this juvenile feeling that you can't focus or even mention the two World Trade Center towers without being "offensive"

4. The Martian. It's caught the national focus right now & The Walk can't compete.

There. It's on the Internet. Thus it's official

reply

You paid to see 5 minutes of a movie? Hmm...

reply

daenerys-khaleesi left after five minutes.
The movie studio still got his money.
I would count that as a win for everyone.

Yeah, the movie's great, but it looks like people would rather see films from Robert Zemeckis that is firmly rooted in fiction rather than a biopic about one of the most amazing feats ever performed by a single person.

Well, I'd say it probably will be done when it's done,
but that's only an approximate guess.

reply

Because the movie is pointless. Who cares about his need to walk across a wire? Can't relate to it, kinda stupid as well

reply

Because everyone already saw the biopic Straight Outta Compton. They want something new now.

reply

Comptom inspired a whole generation. The Walk is not comparable.

reply

Because it looks REALLY boring!

reply

Everyone on here criticising it hasnt seen it! Watch and you will change your mind!!

reply

I thought it was my local theatres not giving it enough of a chance. Strange that it's not doing well. I'll have to see it before it goes off local theatres

reply

I would, but first I need to hand-wash each individual blade of grass in my lawn. I'm looking forward to it, because I should have more fun than watching this snooze-fest.

reply

Seen it. Pointless.

reply

It would have pulled more at the box office if they'd made him fall.

"I know it looked like I fell... but it was all part of my plan!"
