I'm nervous about how this is going to end and I have not heard anything about it returning for another season

Clearly the hope was to entice viewers with this suspenseful ending.

But we have seen this plot endless times before, so there was nothing new here.

Yes, they should have tried to wrap it up like Resurrection at least sought to do, but no such luck.

Doesn't matter. Glad to see this one end.

Welcome to the modern age of TV where every single dramatic show with an ongoing plot is required, absolutely, positively REQUIRED to leave every single season finale open-ended.

Unless the cast and crew of a show have been told well in advance that a given season is going to be the last, you can be absolutely assured that the season finale will leave the story unfinished. It's a guaranteed fact.

Seems like they wrapped it up pretty well to me...the aliens won and that's that.

It was an apt ending for me. Actually, a rather nice ending.

There wasn't massive death and destruction. All the vegetation wasn't singed to non-existence.

Drill took the affected children away, so no more worries about their treachery.

What else do you need to see?
