I'm not attacking anyone, its fine to come on here and rant if you don't like it. I find it pretty entertaining and I'll be disappointed when it's cancelled. Anyone else? Or am I alone....

shareI dig it, yeah. Overall it was surprisingly well done. Still has some of those plot forced moments of idiodicy and the like, but not as much as many other shows.

Spielberg is well versed in creating films on oppression Shcindlers list and Amistad come to mind. If they show alien territory and Claire and Company are the inferior species. Then She may wish she was dead
According to Deadline, ABC hasn’t given up on The Whispers just yet however and want more time to make a decision.
Adding a touch of additional intrigue, Estrin teases that there are ways that the core characters could make it through this Season 1 finale, but “there are other ways to completely alter a character’s journey other than death.” He adds that “for them, death might be preferable.” It sounds as if those behind the show have managed to plan for all possibilities so that the finale does stand as a series finale if need be, but there is a framework in place for Season 2 if ABC grants them one.

Yeah I liked the show, but have to admit I'm glad it's done with for the season (do we know if it was picked up for a second season?). I'd say about half way through I started thinking "Where is this going to go?" "I'm ready to give up but at the same time want to see how it ends"

shareIMDB is not really relevant on who likes the show seeing as most come to whine and moan, if anything the IMDB boards are a place for those that don't like the show to come and vent their hate. Meanwhile, the ratings will give you the best indicator of how well a show has been received.
Just ignore them, I do.

I really liked 5he shown the beginning. The story angle with Milo Ventimiglia's character as John Doe and the episode with the nuclear reactor had me intrigued. BuT the writing at times was god-awful. Srill I watched, hoping it would get better.
I absolutely hated the season finale, as they tried to cram way too much stuff (like the creepy adults and Jessup's ex-wife, really?). I didn't care for Claire being taken by the aliens either.And we never did find out exactly why the children were taken.
The only other alien invasion show I ever saw where the alien was never seen was the old Invaders, from the 60s. But at least, when the people died, they flashed and disappeared in an freaky glow. The one alien in The Whispers remains invisible to the naked eye from the first episode to the very last second of the series. What a cheat! And WHAT a disappointment!
