Some thoughts on the finale
1: Seems America still has a solid love for loyalty. Frank choosing to save Sam because he felt loyalty to her paid of HUGELY for him.
2: JR is a dipstick. For a guy who kept talking about strategy, he sure isn't any good at it. The best move he could have made was to save Lauren, not Jeffrey. Saving the guy everyone hates? Dumb. And pulling that lame ass crap about how he was just honoring their deal, after he admitted it was all strategy (i.e., thinking he could beat Jeffrey and not Lauren) was just the icing on the cake. He's as much a manipulative little liar as Jeffrey.
3: After the whole season was almost over, they FINALLY have a purely mental challenge. For all her boasting about showing the "boys" what it was all about, Sam sure came out of it looking like an idiot. Two out of six; wow. Just, wow.
4: The minute they said the final challenge was about brawn and not brains, I knew Frank had it in the bag. JR's only hope was to get through the puzzle first. Soon as Frank finished the puzzle, I knew he had it.
5: Lauren was PISSED about getting cut by JR. The girl has crazy eyes. As soon as he said it was a hard decision and that he was only loyal to his fiancé, you could tell she knew what was coming and she was NOT happy.
6: I'm glad Frank one. Oh, he's boastful and cocky, but you know what? He has the right to be, because he can back it up. Unlike JR or Jeffrey who talk a good game about not being afraid of Frank, thinking they can beat him, etc., Frank has always backed up what he had to say. He's a family guy, a fireman, and seems like a friendly, decent sort of guy. Hyper competitive, sure; but that's the kind of people they want on the show. To me, though, he's an honorable competitor. He played hard for both teams, was honest and truthful with the other players, and made a good choice in picking Sam to save. Glad he won; I think I'd have puked if Jeffrey had.
Here's to the health of Cardinal Puff.
