If there was a 2nd season, which things would you like them to change?

The idea was good but didn't like many things. If it were me, I would change many things, for example:

Even though I like Frank, he had a huge physical advantage against everyone else there, so next time physical strength should be equally balanced among both teams.

No worldly challenge to select which world to live in, contestants will remain in their own worlds the whole competition but the ones in the future should have to work on things too (not only those in the past) and not only to be totally relaxed in what actually seems a luxury today's house (not really a futuristic sense); in other words, there should be room for improvement in both worlds.
There will be challenges where the prize is to earn a commodity, and the punishment to lose a privilege/commodity.

No rewards/punishments or advantage/disadvantage like the ones we've seen based on popularity. Instead use it for choosing:
- The least favorite automatically goes to the duel.
- The most popular becomes the Decider and will have to choose the second contestant to go to the duel.

To prevent contestants to continuously avoid going to the duel, the Decider must choose from those who haven't gone to one yet (exception made on the least favorite who is actually chosen by the public through the popularity index).

What else would you like them to change?

Personally I don't want them to change anything.

It was so poorly thought out, challenges not play tested and so poorly executed, they couldn't change enough to deserve a second season. And I don't say that lightly. They would change things to be sure, but it would be slow painful seasonal changes, that I wouldn't be able to stomach.

Better to quit it now. It was bad before, but they lost me completely on the elementary school quality of the coin, in the coin toss in the notorious Cat and Mouse challenge (where obstacles, were only for show).

I was willing to wait for some changes and be patient for a new show, but they lost me at that point.

reply

Just better thought-out challenges. The cat and mouse one is painful. The finale one was cool though.

reply

Do away with the popularity index thing. I feel that was way too biased.

Players should win or lose demerits on their own actions, not viewers at home.

reply

I don't have a problem with that. In the beginning of Big Brother, it was effective. The thing that broke the game here was that the TPI was based on tweets. Tweets are free and not limited by individual votes, so you can get any teeny bopper that has a crush on JR, to vote for him 50 times.

reply

Exactly. There's something suspicious when JR keeps winning the pop index. JR? Really? Wow, smh.

reply

More then half the players had "teeny bopper with crushes" that spammed votes not only JR so dont see the need to call out that one person.

You can blame the spammers but the 20 min window for locking the votes was what really picked who won

reply

I feel the need to call JR out because he annoyed me, and his undeserved pop index annoyed me more.

reply

Limit the number of votes that any single viewer has for the Popularity Index. I know that people can create multiple accounts, but I'm sure they could come up with some way to cut down on ballot box stuffing.

The capture-the-flag challenge needs to be redone. Those obstacles have to be secured so that someone like Frank can't just knock everything over.

I like the suggestion that contestants have to go to a duel sooner or later. I don't think contestant should be able to avoid the duels completely.

reply

I don't really think there will be another season it just never really got to a good enough show.

reply

They should have both teams try out at least the future if not both worlds before splitting them up, maybe even having the first Worldly Challenge determine what team they'll be on and therefore what world they'll live in. I found it to be complete and utter BS that Epoch was in the past from Day 1. That being said, I don't see it being picked up. NBC Universal is bad about that when it comes to Sci-Fi.

Abyssus est iustus a vox. Animadverto est ultum, ultum peior

reply

Don't have a guy like Frank, who is miles ahead of EVERYONE else physically. Also, in the 1 on 1 elimination challenges don't let it be a male against a female, that is just unfair.

With great power comes great responsibility.

reply

ditch the "what happened during the season" q and a at the end. too big brother. make the show longer with more footage from in the house (maybe tape the battles instead of have them live, way too much filler) it could be a lot better but I liked it

reply

I'd change a few things.

1: The challenges should have both mental and physical components. That way, a player like Frank can't dominate every challenge. Almost every challenge they had was primarily physical, or had a physical component to it that gave the stronger players an edge.

2: The punishments/prizes were not in any way "game changing". The whole idea that America's vote really influenced the game was crap. Look at the finale. The most popular player week after week, Lauren, was kicked off. Her popularity played no part at all in her chances in the game. Ditto Jeffrey, picked as the least popular consistently. Other than not being able to talk for a day and a few petty annoyances, his unpopularity didn't impact his ability to stay in the game at all. If the viewers are supposed to have an impact, then make it a REAL impact.

3: The Twitter voting seemed spotty. I refuse to believe that Mercy was one of the most popular players, and that Danielle was one of the least.

4: Balance out the future/past living conditions a bit more. The past team had to do a LOT more work just to eat and stay warm. I know that's sort of the point, but even the players noted that the conditions impacted their ability to play in the challenges. Not having enough sleep or food, when the challenges are all physical, is a big draw back...and that wasn't what it was supposed to be about.

I hated Frank. He was the stereotypical muscle-head whose only asset was that he was big and strong. Fortunately for him, almost every challenge was a physical challenge where he had a huge advantage over everyone else. Any women on this show never stood a fighting chance.

And, Frank was an arrogant @sshole. He knew that he was bigger and stronger than everyone else and he felt like he was the only player that deserved the win. He went into a 'roid rage when Jeffery dared to talk strategy that didn't include Frank being the winner.

I seriously don't see how anyone in America voted for Frank as their favorite.

Anyway, the whole show was just a bad idea right from the start. The idea of separating the teams into good and bad areas was never a factor at all. The audience voting seemed kind of thrown together, in that what the audience voted for changed every week.

And, the gimmick of making some of the shows live was useless. That left the host just yammering about nothing to kill the time.

No. It was just a poor show that seems like it was thrown together at the last minute. It won't be back for a second season.

You really don't see why people would like Frank over Jeffrey or JR? Frank had a couple things going for him towards the end.

1: Loyalty. Frank voted to save Sam because, in his own words, she earned it during their last challenge. People love loyalty like that, and it paid off.

2: Frank is a family guy and city fireman; two things people generally love.

3: When he switched to team Epoch, Frank fit in and didn't try to scheme his way back on to his former team.

You may not like him because he's bigger and stronger, but that's not the sum of who he is.

Except that the real reason he picked her was because she was a woman and he knew he would have a huge advantage over her in any physical challenge. His eyes were on the money the whole time.

> 2: Frank is a family guy and city fireman; two things people generally love.

Yup. And that was probably the ONLY reason that he was voted most popular.

> 3: When he switched to team Epoch, Frank fit in and didn't try to scheme his way back on to his former team.

He fit in, but he was never really part of that team. He knew that if they lost, he'd be a serious candidate for elimination. He helped his new team not because he liked them, but because he has an insane desire to win everything.

> You may not like him because he's bigger and stronger, but that's not the sum of who he is.

I kind of think that it really is. I imagine that being one of his kids would be a nightmare. He'd be forcing them to compete and win, win, win! I also imagine that his wife doesn't win very many arguments around the house either.

He is ALL about being bigger, stronger, and better than everyone else. Nothing else matters.

Well, it is a hmm, game...and competition is the name of the game.

So what did you want him to do, play emotionally and lose maybe????

It's a game, a competition. He played it better than everybody else.
He kept to the plan and was loyal to his strategy and won for his family...there's no higher goal IMO!!

He was the best and had the best attributes all around to win. So, yea, he more than deserved to win. I don't really care if he's cocky, unlikable, conceited, Or
whatever. He deserved to win and he won!

That's how it should be. He didn't play dirty tricks like Jeffrey and JR who was a snake to boot. He deserved to win and he won. Good!

Bravo, Frank, you worked hard for your win and won!
Yay!!

> It's a game, a competition. He played it better than everybody else.

That's true. For the competition -- as designed -- Frank was the best player. But, I think that speaks poorly of the producers. Almost every competition had a physical component that decided the game. And, getting physical was Frank's only asset. If he was on Survivor or Big Brother, he'd be out of the game within the first couple of weeks.

But, this game is a convoluted set of rules where player votes, audience votes, and challenge wins all mash-up to determine who goes home.

It was just poorly designed all around.

Agreed.

Make them episodes fit in ONE 43 time slot. It seems they were like "we need 10 extra minutes" so they added an additional 30 minutes of talking in between to justify a need for two episodes for one competition cycle.

It was stupid move, I lost interest by the 4th episode, it was tiring to keep up.

Great concept drew me in, long, boring conversations bored me out.
