I blame Andy Dick.

Blaming Andy Dick is the stupidest thing you could possibly do.

If you don't want to blame Brynn Hartman (which you should, she is the one that pulled the trigger in both instances), you should blame the Zoloft and the cocaine.

Not Andy Dick because he gave her a line almost two years before the murder.

Andy Dick did not get Brynn Hartman hooked on cocaine, nor did he get her started again. In one party, Brynn (who liked to do cocaine) found Andy who was doing cocaine and asked for a line. That one line of coke from Andy did not lead to the murder, what led to Phil's murder was Brynn's addiction that had been going on both prior to that one Christmas party with Andy Dick and long after that party, as well as her addiction to prescription medicine like Zoloft. Andy Dick had not stepped into the Hartman residence for two years and in those two years, Brynn had spiralled out of control because of her OWN addiction to stuff that Dick didn't even know about ingesting.

In the end, Phil had a fight with her and then went t sleep, she stayed up, did drugs and killed him and then herself.

So blaming Andy Dick is the stupidest thing you could ever do.

That's like blaming Leslie Nielsen for the murder of Ron Goldman and Nicole Simpson...

Andy Dick threatened to "put the Phil Hartman curse" on Jon Lovitz, who then punched him in the face.

*beep* Any Dick.

The only reason andy dick said that is because Jon Lovitz made his life a living hell by being the first person to put the blame of Phil Hartman's death on Andy Dick, which he only did because he couldn't bear the thought that this was Brynn's fault, because he knew and loved both of them.

*beep* Jon Lovitz for wanting to escape reality so badly, that he put another man under the bus and helped ruin his career.

So, ten years later, Andy Dick drunk meets Jon Lovitz who snubs him and he says something that he knows will hurt him. Because Jon has been hurting him for years. And this was after Andy had been trying (unsuccessfully) to make things right between them because he doesn't want to be feuding with Jon Lovitz.

Phil Hartman was like a father to Andy Dick. Phil Hartman was like a brother to Jon Lovitz. They both lost someone and both dealt with it horribly. But neither is to blame for his death. No one saw the warning signs when it came to Brynn. And no one is to blame but Brynn herself. And maybe Zoloft.

Everyone knows Hartman hasn't been alive for the past 16 years. Kind of disrespectful topic to some degree. I'm not buying that you didn't know he was dead since he hasn't done anything for that long.
