I walked OUT.

This was by far Mohit Suri's worst film.
Emran was only bluffing. Vidya whinning, Rao was being SRK from My Name is Khan.

What a waste of talent.

I and my friend ended up walking out. Nothing was making sense in this film.

reply

Rao was being SRK from My Name is Khan.

What *beep* is this? SRK wasn't a psycho in MNIK.

reply

The stutters, repeating his lines towards the end of sentenes. His body movement.

Accept it, it was a stupid film.

reply

HAK might be a stupid film (haven't seen it yet), MNIK isn't.

reply

MINK was a decent film. A bit long but it was worth it.

reply

Yeah.

join the club. poorly executed. unintentional comedy of sorts. we laughed at most of the emotional scenes because of how poor and unconvincing they were. didn't expect that from balan.

Behind every fortune... is a crime!

reply

Honestly Ghanchakar was better by a mile.

reply

ghanchakkar was pretty good actually. proper dark comedy.

Behind every fortune... is a crime!

reply

as a romantic movie...this is one time watch for dialogues, performances and its two songs...but nothing special to grip you till end of the movie. Mohit Suri's previous two movies aashiqui 2 & ek villain are better than this one.

reply

No man, Dialouges suck.
Poor selection of scenes. Plot kept changing.

Honestly I couldn't sit through.

I enjoyed Ashiqui 2.

reply

Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain and this movie - They all suck equally!

The first thing I noticed about the comments on this page - written by MEN - Ha! That answers a lot. Not that I want to dump all men in the same trash can where these ignorant fools are going, but sadly, these would be the voices of too many cowardly men and now I have a better idea as to why the so-called 'professional movie critics' were so harsh in their evaluation. Go someplace online where all viewers - men and women - critique this movie and it's a completely different story! Yes, the ones who couldn't stay and watch the movie till the end, those who have such harsh criticisms (but no documentary evidence - just give us a line that's so terrible, describe how the plot kept changing - you're all full of it - this story was on mark all the way through for those who were not too afraid to show their emotions.)

Even more than being described as a romantic movie, you need to know that it is a movie that evokes ALL emotions, and very strongly. This is not a 'fluff piece' full of songs, dancing, and trying to convince that everyone in the India of these make-believe movies has limitless happiness, success, fame, and fortune. I have nothing against those movies either, they are very enjoyable, entertaining and fun when one is in the mood for fairy tales. This movie drives home, in a very powerful and clear manner, the traditions, beliefs and rituals that control so very many people and that makes it a heartbreaking movie in many ways. For the other sides of the movie - there are colorful and gorgeous backgrounds throughout the movie, a view of how family dynamics flow throughout the years and through the different people involved and there is more than enough frustration at how these beliefs, rituals and traditions have so securely imprisoned good people who only want to pursue their love and find happiness in this life. More than any book or movie, more than any lecture that I've ever listened to, this movie made me realize the power that a belief in reincarnation truly has and how it enables people to march forward, facing a lifetime of regret and sadness, all in the hope of the next life if justice prevails.

I see here that some fools were not able to honestly explain their comments and emotions involving another excellent movie, My Name is Khan, starring SRK. They were trying to say that one of the main characters of the movie under review, Hamari Adhuri Kahaani, Hari was performing as though he were 'retarded' and please excuse my crass use of that term, but that's where these commenters were trying to take everyone's thoughts without the courage to actually stand up for what they were doing. For those who have the courage to watch this entire movie, you'll discover that indeed, Hari was a horribly broken and destroyed person. The only fortunate part of seeing a person so horribly wasted is in knowing that it's because he did it to himself with his selfishness and his horrible thoughts towards others. Those of us, brave enough to hold onto our emotions and make it to the end of the movie just might be rewarded with a recognition of his repentance! I have no fear of explaining what they were making fun of - they were trying to diminish the worth of mentally ill people, especially those who are afflicted with Asberger's Syndrome, a lesser form of autism. I have a precious grandson who is afflicted with this unfortunate disease, but he is a very intelligent, cheerful and loving young man and I couldn't be more proud of him! SRK plays an Asberger patient in My Name is Khan and his goal is to travel, on his own, from California to Washington D.C. after the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001. As a Muslim, he was determined that the president of his new country should understand that he loves the U.S. and the actions of the terrorists were not celebrated by all Muslims and that he does not believe the goals of the terrorists are any part of his Muslim faith. It's a great movie that SHOULD remind people that even the mentally ill have great worth and that none of us should judge an entire group of people by the actions of small groups within our community. I'm a very proud Christian with strong faith, but I would never condone the actions of others who try to hide behind the label of Christianity nor those who blame God for their evil actions. God is love and does not perform evil - the only people who believe it's possible for God to be evil are those who are too ignorant to study the evidence for themselves, come to an understanding of God's personality. You'd have to have no brains at all to imagine that the normal Christian supports the beliefs or actions of Westboro 'so-called baptist' church - they are a hateful and evil cult who knows nothing of God's/Christ's love and mercy.

I have no hesitation in recommending this movie to any thinking person who is not ashamed of experiencing strong emotions - there is nothing that's come out of Hollyweird for years that even comes close to the value of this wonderful movie - Hamari Adhuri Kahaani (Our Incomplete Story).
